This Privacy Policy explains how Sound Clarity collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use our website, mobile application, software, services, waitlist, support channels, reporting tools, or related features. In this policy, “Sound Clarity,” “we,” “us,”** and “our” refer to Sound Clarity.
Sound Clarity is designed to help parents, guardians, and other responsible adults better understand songs, lyrics, translations, themes, and related context. We try to limit the information we collect and use it only for purposes related to providing, improving, supporting, securing, and operating the service.
1. No Account Required
Sound Clarity does **not** require users to create an account to use the core app experience. This means we do not require a username, password, profile, or social-login account for basic use.
If you voluntarily contact support, join a waitlist, submit a report, purchase a subscription, or communicate with us, we may collect the information needed to respond to you, process your request, provide access, or maintain accurate records.
2. Information We May Process
Sound Clarity may temporarily process information you provide or scan in order to generate results. This may include song searches, song titles, artist names, screenshots, audio snippets, lyrics, translations, scan inputs, metadata, links, and other content you choose to submit.
We may also store limited song-related data, such as song titles, artist names, cached analysis results, translation outputs, concern categories, rating-related metadata, and technical scan metadata. This cached song data is used to improve performance, avoid duplicate processing, maintain service quality, and help provide faster results. Cached song data is **not intended to identify individual users**.

3. Screenshots, Audio Snippets, Lyrics, and Translations
If you submit a screenshot, audio snippet, lyric excerpt, translation request, or scan input, Sound Clarity may process that material to identify the song, analyze possible themes, provide contextual explanation, generate a translation, or return a related report.
You should avoid submitting private, confidential, personal, or sensitive information that is not needed for the song analysis. For example, if a screenshot includes names, messages, notifications, profile photos, or other personal details, you should crop or remove that information before submitting it whenever possible.
4. AI and Automated Processing
Sound Clarity may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, automated analysis, public information, metadata, translation tools, and third-party service providers to help generate reports, summaries, translations, ratings, labels, concern categories, explanations, or other results.
AI and automated tools may process the information you submit, including song searches, screenshots, audio snippets, lyric excerpts, translations, and scan inputs. These tools are used to provide app functionality, improve the service, and help us understand music-related content. AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or context-dependent, and they should be reviewed together with our Disclaimer and Terms of Use.
5. Service Providers and Third Parties
We may use trusted service providers to operate Sound Clarity. These providers may help with hosting, database storage, authentication if added later, file storage, AI analysis, translation, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, waitlist management, email delivery, subscriptions, payment processing, and security.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use cached song-related data to intentionally identify individual users. We may share information with service providers only as needed to operate, improve, secure, support, or provide Sound Clarity, or as otherwise described in this policy.
6. Analytics and Diagnostics
Sound Clarity may collect limited analytics and diagnostic information to understand whether the app is working properly, which features are used, where errors occur, and how to improve performance. This may include app launches, taps, feature usage, crash logs, device type, operating system version, app version, approximate location, and similar technical information.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
If Sound Clarity offers paid features, subscriptions, free trials, promotional offers, or in-app purchases, payment processing may be handled by Apple, Stripe, RevenueCat, or another payment or subscription provider. We generally do not receive your full payment card number when payments are processed by those providers.
We may receive transaction-related information such as subscription status, purchase history, renewal state, product purchased, cancellation status, refund status, and transaction identifiers so we can provide access to paid features and respond to billing questions.
8. How We Use Information
We may use information to provide Sound Clarity, identify songs, process scans, generate reports, analyze lyrics or screenshots, translate or explain content, maintain cached song results, improve performance, prevent duplicate processing, troubleshoot errors, respond to support requests, review inaccurate-result reports, manage subscriptions, protect the service, comply with law, and enforce our policies.
We may also use de-identified, aggregated, or non-identifying information to understand app performance, improve results, develop new features, and maintain service quality. We do not intend to use cached song-related data to identify individual users.
9. Data Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Song-related cached data may be kept to improve performance, avoid duplicate processing, and maintain report consistency. Support, report, billing, and privacy request records may be kept as needed for business, legal, security, or compliance purposes.
If you submit a deletion request, we will review the request and delete or de-identify information where required by law and reasonably possible.
10. Your Choices and Requests
You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or review of information associated with your support request, issue report, waitlist signup, or other identifiable communication. 12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no app, website, database, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You should avoid submitting unnecessary personal, confidential, or sensitive information through Sound Clarity.
